Leadership Driving India’s Global Plastics Ambition.

Dr. Raju Desai, President, Plastindia Foundation, met with Mr. Brajesh Pathak, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, in Lucknow during the 4th Mega International Conference on “India as a Global Sourcing Hub for the Plastics & Packaging Industry”, held on 13 August 2026.

In his address, Mr. Desai spoke about the growing role of India’s plastics industry in the country’s larger economic and industrial journey, highlighting how “the next chapter of India’s plastics story will be written in the heartland.”

The interaction with the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister reflected the growing opportunities for Uttar Pradesh to strengthen its manufacturing ecosystem, attract investment and contribute to India’s emergence as a global sourcing destination.
