Swachhata Yatra drives circular economy, sustainability, and zero-waste awareness
On January 11, 2026, the Swachhata Yatra was ceremoniously flagged off at T-Hub, Hyderabad, marking a significant step toward promoting sustainability and responsible waste management practices across communities. The initiative was launched by dignitaries from the Plastindia Foundation in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, along with the Founder of Switcheko, highlighting a strong partnership between industry, innovators, and government bodies.
Designed as a unique outreach program, the Yatra carries the message of the circular economy directly to the grassroots through the innovative “Sustainability on Wheels” mobile unit. This moving platform showcases practical, decentralized waste management solutions in action, creating awareness and encouraging communities to adopt environmentally responsible practices in their daily lives.
The Swachhata Yatra stands as a powerful symbol of the plastics industry’s evolving commitment to sustainability, emphasizing the importance of reducing waste, promoting recycling, and advancing circular economy principles. As the momentum builds toward the global industry gathering in February, this initiative reinforces PLASTINDIA 2026’s broader vision of fostering responsible growth, driving innovation, and championing zero-waste solutions for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
